Top 5 Best Silicone Reclaim Catchers for Dab Rigs
Reclaim catchers are a must have for anyone using a rig for concentrates. Reclaim Catchers keep the dab rig cleaner, while also capturing any excess concentrates which can be used at a later, possibly more desperate time.
Until recently Reclaim Catchers were made from glass, with a small removable silicone jar at the bottom, where the reclaim would gather.
As great as that is, the one major flaw with glass reclaim catchers is the reclaim that would get stuck on the sides of the glass. There are ways to remove that reclaim, by simply heating the reclaim catcher carefully, or by using a dab tool. Unfortunately, as many of you may already know, this can lead to the reclaim catcher breaking. In addition, it is extremely hard to reclaim all of the residue, you can get most of it, but definitely not all of it.
Why should I use a silicone reclaim catcher?
Using a Silicone Reclaim Catcher is the only way to capture every drop of excess concentrates from a reclaim catcher, as opposed to traditional glass reclaim catchers.
How does a silicone reclaim catcher allow complete reclaiming of every last drop of concentrates?
As explained above, some concentrates get stuck on the inner wall of the reclaim catcher, with glass you can try your best but still never get every last drop out, however with silicone there is one simple trick to get every last drop of concentrates out. Take the reclaim catcher, throw it into the freezer for an hour, pull it out and simply push the silicone, causing the concentrates to easily fall out! Yes it’s really that simple!
At the moment there are only a handful of silicone reclaim catchers, however the list is growing.
Silicone reclaim catchers also have the ability to be structured slightly differently than original glass reclaim catchers. Some silicone reclaim catchers open from the top, while others open from the bottom.
We are excited to see what designs come next, but for now we will list our best silicone reclaim catcher options for you to choose from. We will surely add more to the list as they are brought to market.
1. Reclaim-It Silicone Reclaim Catcher by White Rhino
The Reclaim-It Silicone Reclaim Catcher is the first and most innovative silicone reclaim catcher. With its ability to fit 14mm or 18mm male bangers, it fits many of the most popular bangers. Its unique design allows for the most efficient capturing of concentrates. The only downside we see to this reclaim catcher is that it's mainly meant for 90 degree angle pipes and not for 45 degree angle pipes. Click Here to View
2. Stratus Silicone Reclaim Catcher
The Stratus Silicone Reclaim Catcher mimics the same design as a traditional reclaim catcher. The one crucial difference being that it is entirely made from silicone, allowing for easy reclaiming. The one downfall is that it is 90 degrees , meaning it would not be recommended to be used with a 45 degree angle pipe because concentrates will fall along the wall and not directly down into the bottom of the reclaim catcher. However being entirely made of silicone, it is still relatively easy to capture all of the reclaim. Simply place the reclaim capture into the freezer for an hour, pull it out and push different parts of the silicone, causing the frozen concentrates to crack and fall out. Click Here to View
3. A Leaf Silicone Reclaim Catcher
Possibly the most versatile silicone reclaim catcher, the Aleaf silicone reclaim catcher fits 14mm and 18mm male bangers, while also being compatible with either a 90 degree angle dab rig or a 45 degree angle dab rig. The other very interesting part of this reclaim catcher is that it opens from the top as opposed to the bottom, which creates a large opening making gathering the excess concentrates that much easier.
